Nivio

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

This policy explains how Nivio handles your information when you use our manual-entry personal finance app. It covers what we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have about your data.

1. Introduction

Nivio is a manual-entry personal finance app that helps you understand what may be safe to spend, what is coming next, and how your accounts, recurring payments, and credit cards affect your available money.

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it may be used, and the choices you may have. It is written in plain language and should be reviewed by legal counsel before publication.

2. Information users provide

You may provide information such as your name, email address, support messages, preferences, and any details you choose to enter while using the app.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into Nivio.

3. Account and authentication information

Nivio uses Firebase Authentication to create and protect user accounts. We store basic profile information such as your name, email address, and phone number.

Beyond your account profile, the rest of the information we collect is financial data you choose to enter manually. This includes checking account details, credit card information, recurring income, recurring expenses, transfers, and individual expense transactions.

You provide this information voluntarily so Nivio can offer meaningful insights about your financial state and help guide your spending and planning decisions.

4. Financial information entered by users

Nivio does not connect directly to your bank accounts in this manual-entry version. Users enter their own balances, transactions, income, recurring expenses, transfers, subscriptions, credit card details, statement dates, payment dates, and related notes.

This information is used to show your financial overview, upcoming obligations, and Safe to Spend estimate.

5. App usage and diagnostic information

Nivio may collect app usage, device, crash, diagnostic, analytics, and notification information to keep the app reliable and improve the product.

Analytics focus on how you interact with the product. This includes custom events such as completing flows, creating transactions, and correcting account balances. We use this information to improve the experience and deliver more value to users.

Nivio also collects crash and diagnostic reports so we can inspect bugs and fix issues that affect app reliability.

6. How information is used

Information may be used to provide the app, calculate and display financial views, maintain accounts, respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, improve product quality, and communicate important updates.

Nivio should not be presented as guaranteeing financial outcomes. The app helps organize information you provide so you can make clearer decisions.

7. Service providers

Nivio relies on service providers to operate the app.

Google Firebase provides authentication, Cloud Firestore database storage, Firebase Storage for profile photos, product analytics, and backend processing. Sentry provides crash reporting and diagnostics. Expo provides push notification delivery and over-the-air app updates.

These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services.

8. Data storage and retention

Nivio stores your information using cloud services so your app data can be available across sessions and devices when supported.

We retain your data unless you send a request by email asking for it to be deleted. Once deleted, your data cannot be restored and you will no longer have access to it.

9. User choices and rights

You may be able to update information in the app, adjust device permissions, unsubscribe from non-essential communications, or request access, correction, export, or deletion of certain information.

The availability of these rights may depend on your location and applicable law.

10. Children's privacy

Nivio is intended for adults managing their personal finances. Apple assigns the app a 4+ age rating on the App Store, and anyone who meets that requirement may use it.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact support so the request can be reviewed.

11. International users

If you use Nivio from outside the country where its services are operated, your information may be processed in another country.

TODO: Confirm operating jurisdiction, cross-border transfer language, and any region-specific requirements before publishing.

12. Changes to this policy

Nivio may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the Last updated date will be revised.

For material changes, Nivio may provide additional notice where appropriate.
