Getting started
What is Nivio?
Nivio is a personal finance app for understanding what is safe to spend, what is coming next, and how your accounts and card obligations affect your money.
Does Nivio connect to my bank?
No. Nivio is a manual-entry app. You add and update your own balances, transactions, income, recurring payments, and card information.
How do I add an account?
Open the app, go to your money area, and add the cash, debit, or credit account you want to track. Enter the current balance you want Nivio to use.
Can I use Nivio in Spanish and English?
Language availability should be confirmed before publishing. If both languages are available in your app version, update this answer with the exact steps.
Safe to Spend
What does Safe to Spend mean?
It is a practical estimate of what may be available after the obligations and income timing you add to Nivio.
Why is it different from my account balance?
Your balance only shows what is in an account right now. Safe to Spend also considers upcoming payments, recurring expenses, card obligations, and expected income timing.
Why can Safe to Spend be lower than my available balance?
It can be lower when Nivio sees money that may need to be kept aside for upcoming bills, subscriptions, card payments, or other obligations you entered.
What happens if information is missing?
Nivio can only work with what you add. If balances, income, payments, or dates are missing, Safe to Spend may be incomplete.
Accounts and transactions
Can I track cash, debit, and credit cards?
Yes. Nivio is built around cash, debit accounts, credit cards, income, expenses, transfers, subscriptions, and recurring payments.
How do I correct an account balance?
Open the account or card in Nivio and use the balance correction option if it is available in your app version.
Can I add recurring income and expenses?
Yes. Recurring income and expenses are part of the planning context that helps Nivio show what is coming next.
Can I track transfers between accounts?
Nivio is designed to help keep transfers clear so moving money does not look like new income or new spending.
Credit cards
How does Nivio track credit cards?
You can add card information such as balances, statement details, payment dates, and transactions so Nivio can show what you owe and what may be due.
Why are statement and payment dates needed?
Dates help Nivio place card obligations in time, so upcoming payments can be considered before you spend.
Can I record a credit card payment?
Yes, when supported by your app version, recording a payment helps keep your card balance and available money aligned.
Does my credit limit count as available money?
No. Nivio should treat credit as an obligation to manage, not as cash available to spend.
Privacy and data
Does Nivio sell personal information?
This should be confirmed before publishing. The privacy policy draft states that Nivio does not sell personal information unless business practices change and are disclosed.
Does Nivio have access to my bank?
No. Nivio does not connect directly to your bank accounts in this manual-entry version.
How can I request deletion of my account or data?
Contact support with the email address used for your account. The exact deletion workflow should be confirmed before publishing.
How can I contact support?
